Charity Parachute Jump
Saturday 2nd July 2019

Whilst out bird watching on a snowy day in December 2010, 76-year-old Dickie Dutton fell in love with St James’ Church as soon as he saw it.  He knew nothing of its history but sensed it was a very special place, and that he wanted to help it.

On 2 July 2011 Dickie did a tandem parachute jump to raise funds to help us improve the interpretation of the church for visitors.

Dickie raised over £6,000 in sponsorship and presented a cheque to The Friends of St James’ Church. Well done Dickie, and thank you!
